Qualifying from Kings College London in 2003 with a BSc. in Nutrition and Dietetics; I have twelve years of experience across a wide variety of clinical specialities; including diabetes, weight management,bariatric surgery, renal, gastroenterology,FODMAP, surgery, oncology and nutrition support. I have worked within industry supporting and providing evidence based science to support the launch of new nutritional products. My experience has included teaching and presenting to large groups of people, sports coaches, athletes and healthcare professionals, the launch of two major nutritional products within the UK, acute clinical and community dietetics, GP clinics, performance nutrition with sports medicine teams, AASE athlete programmes, local government obesity schemes and GP commissioning.
I have a Sports and Exercise Pg.Cert from Coventry University and an Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with special populations, and am qualified as an instructor in exercise to music and pole dancing.
I am a competitive endurance triathlete and represent GB age groups on long course triathlon. I have always taken a keen interest in sports from adventure racing, sky diving, fell running, road cycling and mountain biking to horse riding and team pursuits. I am passionate about how food and nutrition affects performance, metabolism and body composition.
I have wealth of experience and understanding about the fine balance of nutrition and hydration for health, well-being and sports performance.
